Jakarta - 25/08/21, The launch of the program was carried out online through the Zoom room and YouTube streaming, August 25, 2021. "By saying Bismillahirahmanirahim, I launch the Archives Register program as the National Collective Memory (MKB)", said the Head of ANRI, Imam Gunarto in his remarks. Imam Gunarto said that the MKB program as a series of processes for mitigation, assessment, rescue, preservation, service and registration of archives as MKB, is a collaborative program that is national and international, both between governments, government and private institutions, government and business, and government and community or individuals. “The outcome of this program is the realization of archives as a strong national identity.
Therefore, the archive as MKB must be interpreted in a dynamic meaning. The archive is not seen as a sacred material entity, but must be managed as information data that forms knowledge that continues to dynamically meet current and future need. Archives must be a light, an inspiration, enlightening and educating”, explained Imam Gunarto.
Furthermore, Imam Gunarto added that in the context of documentary heritage or archives as the nation's collective memory, ANRI is a representation of the state that must be present and prepare the ecosystem so that archival practices and products as part of culture can be viewed as dynamic products, which can continuously be actualized in the context of appropriate era. Also present at this launch event and gave a speech from the Chairman of the Indonesian Memory of the World Committee (MOW), Dr. Dudi Hidayat, M.Sc, Chair of the Indonesian National Commission for UNESCO, Ministry of Education and Culture, Prof. Dr. Arief Rachman, M.Pd and Keynote Speech by Secretary General of Memory of The World Regional Committee for Asia and Pacific (MoWCAP), Mr. Andrew Henderson.
After the launch of the Archives Register program as MKB, the event continued with a webinar on MKB which presented professional speakers including Chair of The Australian MOW Committee, Ms. Roslyn Russell, Acting Deputy for Archives Conservation, Dra. Multi Siswati, MM, MoW Indonesia Expert Council, Dr. Mukhlis PaEni, MA. This webinar was guided by Eli Ruliawati, S.Sos, MAP as a panel leader.
